Nuestras Raíces Inc. is a Delaware-based, all-volunteer nonprofit organization dedicated to engaging, educating, and empowering communities through cultural education, leadership development, and community outreach. For nearly 50 years, we have led one of Delaware’s oldest and largest Hispanic Heritage initiatives, creating opportunities that celebrate culture while providing direct support to underserved families across the state.

Our work extends far beyond annual events. Through year-round programs such as DE-AID, leadership development initiatives, youth arts and wellness programs, and community outreach partnerships, we help individuals and families access essential resources, strengthen leadership capacity, and build stronger connections across communities.

As the founders of Delaware’s original Hispanic Heritage celebration in Wilmington, we continue to serve as a bridge between culture and community impact—reaching thousands of residents annually, particularly those in low-to-moderate income communities. Our mission is rooted in preserving heritage, fostering inclusion, and creating pathways for long-term community growth throughout Delaware.
