Rockwood’s Outdoor Self-Guided Tour
While Rockwood Museum’s galleries are under construction to improve accessibility and protect its collections, our signature tours are moving outside! Explore the grandeur, history and beauty of the Rockwood Museum; home of the Shipley, Bringhurst and Hargraves families for 120 years; at your own pace. Drop in during open hours for free guidebooks, discussions with staff and volunteers and free kids activities. Stroll around the Rockwood Mansion and Heritage Garden to discover the stories of this important Victorian estate. Off-road wheelchair available for use during outdoor tours upon request. Walking over uneven terrain and in a range of mild weather conditions; comfortable shoes and weather-resistant clothing are suggested. Looking for a unique tour experience? Have a big group?
