The Christmas Shop Foundation is an independent volunteer organization committed to improving the Delaware community by raising funds for a variety of nonprofit programs that enrich lives and help people in need. We have an elected volunteer Board of Trustees and over 100 committee members. For 90 years, this dedicated volunteer corps has orchestrated a very festive and highly anticipated event.

Community participation is at the heart of The Christmas Shop Foundation. Proceeds from our exhibitors at The Perfect Gift form the basis of our fundraising effort, but in addition, many area retailers also donate goods and services to a Silent Auction, which helps to augment our funding base. Additional revenue is also generated through the sale of Catalogue advertisements, admission tickets, and a Patrons Preview Evening (“Opening Night”). Corporate and private contributions lend critical support to help make this memorable community event possible.

Nonprofit organizations in Delaware who are interested in being considered for funding by The Christmas Shop Foundation, must submit a completed application and are subject to rigorous review, including a site visit to each grant applicant. Grants are awarded to beneficiaries from varied social, racial, and economic communities. Programs selected encompass the areas of education, cultural, environment, health, and social welfare.
