Join Delaware Wild Lands and OperaDelaware for an unforgettable evening on protected lands, where food, drink, birds, and music come together in a one-of-a-kind experience.

Guests will travel into the wild by tram car, stopping at four intimate stations along the way. At each stop, you’ll enjoy a carefully curated wine tasting and small bite while discovering the birds, water, and habitats that make this landscape special. Guided by trained naturalists, you’ll experience the landscape in a way that’s rarely possible: slowly, quietly, and with time to listen. You’ll then return to the Charlie F. Gummey Jr. Terrace as evening falls for the unexpected grand finale: a live OperaDelaware performance with curated avian selections from some of opera’s best (The Magic Flute, Pagliacci, and more) – all this set against the landscape you’ve just explored!

Act fast as this experience is limited to 70 guests. Must be 21 years or older to participate.

What to wear: Dress for the weather and plan to be comfortable outdoors throughout the evening. Sturdy, closed-toe shoes are required for walking on uneven natural terrain.

Why the Crane?: Sandhill Cranes are elusive visitors to Delaware Wild Lands’ properties; favoring quiet, secluded places where they can go largely unnoticed. You may see one, you may hear one, or you may simply experience the wild habitat that makes their presence possible.
