Steamin’ Day at Auburn Heights
Step back to the dawn of the automotive age at Steamin’ Day—one of the only places in the country where you can ride in all three early automotive technologies: gas, steam, and electric. From antique automobiles to live steam trains, this family-friendly event offers hands-on history and unforgettable experiences for visitors ages 2 to 92.
Event Highlights Include:
- Unlimited antique automobile rides, offering a firsthand experience of turn-of-the-century travel
- Scenic rides on the Auburn Valley Railroad featuring 1/8-scale trains
- Steam car firing-up demonstration
- Museum access, including the world’s largest operating collection of Stanley steam cars, a working 1930s standard-gauge train layout, interactive exhibits, and the museum shop
- Outdoor Gauge 1 live steam railroad displays by the Yorklyn Valley Railroad
- Children’s crafts and hands-on activities inside the museum
- Complimentary fresh-popped popcorn from a vintage popper
- Food and Refreshments: Woodside Farm Creamery (cash only) The Stand (cash preferred; cards accepted)
- Guests are welcome to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy on the grounds
- Optional Upgrade (Additional Fee): Guided tours of the 1897 Marshall Mansion, home to three generations of the Marshall family ($8 for adults; $4 for ages 12 and under)
