What if a box could hold more than just things? What if it could hold your style, your story, your ideas? Students will transform a simple box into a bold, layered statement piece using papier collé techniques and mixed materials. Through thoughtful planning and creative exploration, each artist will develop a theme inspired by their interests, aesthetic, colors, symbols, or ideas that feel meaningful to them. We’ll focus on composition, contrast, layering, and texture while encouraging intentional design choices that reflect individuality. Students will learn how to take a concept from idea to finished piece, thinking like designers as they build something both expressive and functional. The result is a one-of-a-kind keepsake box with real personality, perfect for storing notes, art, memories, or small treasures that matter most.
