Outdoor Concert at Rockwood: Hosting the Wilmington Community Orchestra
Rockwood is hosting the Wilmington Community Orchestra for an outdoor concert! This fundraiser between Rockwood and the Music School of Delaware brings together talented musicians from across the region to share the power and joy of live orchestral music with the community. The Wilmington Community Orchestra, made up of over 40 musicians, is a key program of the Music School of Delaware under the direction of Joseph Hodge and the concert will feature noted soloists and special guests. The Wilmington Community Orchestra is excited to present a dynamic program of symphonic favorites, including Gustav Holst’s powerful Mars and majestic Jupiter from the iconic work The Planets - aptly chosen for the starry skies above Rockwood Park. Bring a picnic dinner or take advantage of the snacks, wine/beer/beverages, and an ice cream vendor that will be on hand. Rain date is July 18th at 7pm.
Presented by The Music School of Delaware.
