Moonlit Owls: An Intro to Scratch Art Family Art Class
A Halloween-themed scratch art workshop for children and their caregivers, introducing the process of revealing hidden imagery through contrast and texture. Participants will create spooky owl designs by scratching into a dark surface to reveal luminous silver or gold beneath, like uncovering moonlight in the night sky. Guided instruction will cover simple composition, line work, and pattern-building, while leaving space for personal creativity and expression. Each owl can take on a unique personality… mysterious, whimsical, or watchful… set against a Halloween-inspired background. A hands-on class focused on detail, discovery, and the satisfying reveal of glowing metallic imagery. Additional $10 material fee. Ages 6-12 with caregiver.
