Delaware County Symphony Presents A Classical Delco Arts Week Chamber Concert
The Delaware County Symphony Chamber Series opens its season on Sunday, October 4 at 3:00 PM with A Classical Delco Arts Week Chamber Concert, featuring music by some of the great composers of the classical tradition, along with a new work by local composer and musician Joseph Lorini.
The program begins with Bach’s Prélude in D Major for violin, followed by Mozart’s String Quartet No. 19 and Boccherini’s String Quintet, Op. 30, No. 6. The concert concludes with Hymn for America, a new work by Lorini, a local musician, composer, and arranger. Arranged for violin, cello, piano, and baritone voice, the piece celebrates America and the nation’s semiquincentennial—the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
A Classical Delco Arts Week Chamber Concert is part of Delco Arts Week and will be presented on October 4 at 3:00 PM in Neumann University's Meagher Theatre. Tickets for the concert may be purchased at dcsmusic.org/tickets
