Introduction to Quilting: American Flag Wall Hanging or Pillow

Celebrate the season while learning the basics of quilting in this relaxed, beginner-friendly workshop. Students will create a simple American flag design, finished as a wall hanging or pillow. This intro to quilting includes clear, step- by-step guidance and plenty of hands-on support. Students will learn how to use a rotary cutter and mat for accurate cutting, piece fabric together with consistent seams, sew the perfect 1/4" quilting seam, and apply a clean edge finish. These techniques form the foundation for many quilting projects and will build confidence at the sewing machine. All equipment and tools are provided. Students may bring a working machine or borrow one of ours.
