2nd Saturday Presents: Poetic Memory: A Gathering of Elders
Poetic Memory: A Gathering of Elders is a special edition of 2nd Saturday Poets hosted by Dr. Yalonda JD Green at The Delaware Contemporary on June 13, 2026, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. The afternoon will feature poets, storytellers, musicians, and cultural keepers including Vaughn Hilton, Phillip Bannowsky, Boe Nakakakena Harris, and Andre’ Wright Sr., followed by an open mic. Rooted in the spirit of the griot tradition, the event celebrates memory, oral tradition, lived experience, and the power of poetry to connect generations and communities.
