Sign Like Hancock: Cursive Writing
Ages 8-12 (firm). If you want to sign your name like John Hancock, you need to learn how to write in cursive. Cursive writing is an important tool for success in school and beyond. Being able to write in cursive has been shown to improve spelling and composition skills, as well as help the brain remember better. Children who practice cursive writing will also gain self-discipline -- another necessary skill for school success. Participants should plan to attend all four sessions. Limited space; preregistration is required -- no walk-ins. (Parent or other responsible adult must be present in the library, including during programs, for any child/youth under age 16.)
