Teen Pottery - Session 1

• Monday, September 21 through Monday, October 19
• Center for the Creative Arts, Yorklyn, DE

Learn the basics of handbuilding and throwing on the pottery wheel in a fun and supportive environment geared toward teens! Students will learn how to create bowls, cups, and mugs for functional use. Instructors will provide step by step guidance through spoken lessons as well as demonstrations. All materials are provided. (Total: 5 classes, 7.5 hours)

IMPORTANT NOTES:

- Accessing the pottery studio requires use of stairs.

- Students will be working on an electric pottery wheel with assistance and guidance from the teaching artist.

- An email regarding Pottery Studio expectations and guidelines will be sent out the week before class begins.

- Our "Teen Pottery" classes are split into two sessions, so if you are interested in a longer format of Session 1 and would like to continue your learning, sign up for Session 2 ASAP!

-Students will be provided with clay and tools for class use.

-Advanced students looking to make larger vessels or more pieces can select to purchase additional bags clay at the front office.
