Oliver!
Based on Charles Dickens's novel Oliver Twist, Lionel Bart's classic musical follows Oliver, an orphan in Victorian London who dares to ask for more food at his workhouse. After escaping to the city streets, he is taken in by the charismatic Fagin and his gang of young pickpockets, including the Artful Dodger. Oliver finds temporary refuge with a wealthy benefactor, Mr. Brownlow, but Fagin and the dangerous criminal Bill Sikes scheme to pull him back into the criminal underworld. Featuring famous songs like "Food, Glorious Food," "Consider Yourself," and "As Long as He Needs Me," the story balances humor, dark drama, and heart.Â
