Beyond Beginner Watercolor - 4 weeks

For students who have taken Beginner Watercolors or have some prior experience. Explore light, shadow, and color.



For students who have some experience in watercolor painting already. This 4-week class starts to explore color theory as it relates specifically to watercolor painting. We are still emphasizing the mechanics of applying the paint, while we look at different ways to use color to create light and shadow. And we begin to focus and understand the importance of value in our representational work, and how to achieve the values that are needed. Students will have a fuller understanding and comfort level with painting with watercolor and the basic building blocks of using color. Supply list for this class is available here.

Age 16+. Younger kids also welcome with parent. Parent is free unless they are also participating.
