Tips, Tools, and Techniques in Figure Drawing

Discover your natural strengths when drawing from a live nude model as you work to enhance your skills and develop a personal style and approach. Each session will be devoted to trying new and novel drawing materials and methods, observing and analyzing the most relevant features of each pose, and working with various techniques to portray the model as a finished polished drawing. Individual instruction will give each student a custom and challenging focus consistent with ability. Prior drawing experience will be helpful but not required. Students are responsible for providing their own materials: 18” X 24” newsprint pad, charcoal or graphite sticks, kneaded eraser, and drawing board in addition to favorite drawing media. Additional $50 model fee. Ages 18+
