Living History: Frida Kahlo
Colleen Webster transforms into the iconic Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, covering “Kahlo's life from girlhood promise and tragedy, through her tempestuous marriage to painter Diego Rivera, her political activism and relationship with Leon Trotsky and many other lovers.”, complemented by a visual display of Kahlo's art and photographs.
The interactive performance includes a question-and-answer session where Webster stays in character as Kahlo before stepping out of character to field further questions from the audience.
Colleen Webster is a former English professor at Harford Community College and a former Poet Laureate of Havre de Grace.
