From Muskets to Machine Guns: A Day of Living History returns to Fort DuPont for its second year!
This free, family-friendly event brings multiple periods of American military history to life—from the age of muskets to the era of machine guns. Set against the historic backdrop of Fort DuPont, the event offers visitors an opportunity to experience the people, equipment and stories that shaped our nation’s military history.
Visitors can explore:
• Live historical demonstrations
• Military encampments representing different periods
• Living historians and reenactors
• Interactive educational displays and exhibits
• Informational booths presented by historical and community organizations
• Family-friendly activities
• Food trucks and local vendors
