Wilm Dems present the play Ethan's People by Richard Gaw, a live staged reading by City Theater Company , as the latest installment of their "Worth Talking About" fundraiser series, on September 10.

The play reading is sponsored by Senator Dan Cruce and presented in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, with ticket proceeds benefitting a local First Responder's fund.

Gaw's drama is a small window into the lives of two families directly affected by the tragedy, each of whom handle heartbreak and healing in very different ways.

Meet other guests beforehand at Huxley & Hiro for a casual happy hour at 7pm, followed by the play at 8pm. The reading will be followed by a Q&A conversation, moderated by Dr. Claire van den Broek, offering an opportunity to honor and reflect together on the play and on the lasting impact of 9/11.

Richard Gaw is an award-winning playwright based in Chester County. Ethan's People premiered in Delaware and won Best Play at the 2002 Delaware Theatre Festival, and ran Off-Off Broadway in 2011.

City Theater Company is an award-winning theater company in its 33rd season in Wilmington, DE, known for staging and developing works by local playwrights as well as for their reimagined takes on classical musicals and plays.

Ticket proceeds benefit the Wilmington Firefighters Benevolent Fund, Inc .

Ethan's People by Richard Gaw is directed by Michael Gray and features Jim Burns, Jessica Fields, Dylan Geringer, and Aidan McDonald.
