Harry Potter: Intro to theatre Design for Kid and Teens - 2 Days

Kids and teens will explore fashion, costume, set, construction theatre design. This sessions theme is Harry Potter.

For kids and students who are interested in fashion and costume design, set design, theatre, film and television. This two-day class will encourage you to bring your visions to life through collage, painting, drawing, sketching, or whatever makes your heart happy. Class dates are Sundays Aug. 2, and Aug. 9.

Week 1: Costume Design

Redesign the costume of any character from Harry Potter, pulling inspiration from the book, musical, and movie. Create a mood/ inspiration board, drawing, or collage of your chosen characters new design. Learn the basics of color theory through the theatrical lens.

Week 2: Set Design

Create a mood/ inspiration board, drawing, or collage, based on one of the locations in Harry Potter. Learn some of the steps in designing a set like creating a background, making a floor plan, and picking a theme.

All materials provided. Ages 10-18.
