Delaware Great Reads: F is for First State
Join illustrator Elizabeth Traynor for a creative, behind-the-scenes look at her illustrations for "F is for First State: A Delaware Alphabet," the Delaware 2026 Great Reads from Great Places Youth book selection.
Participants will learn about the modern world of illustration and the artistic process behind children’s book publishing. The program will include step-by-step demonstrations of selected pages from F is for First State, showcasing the journey from initial sketches to finished artwork. Elizabeth will also share original pieces from the book for attendees to enjoy.
Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions about art, creativity, and the role of illustration in today’s world.
