Descendants: Intro to Theater Design for Kids and Teens - 2 Days

This two-day class (meets on Sundays) introduces kids and teens through Descendants

For kids and students who are interested in fashion and costume design, set design, theatre, film and television. This two-day class will encourage you to bring your visions to life through collage, painting, drawing, sketching, or whatever makes your heart happy. Class dates are Sundays Aug. 16 and Aug. 23.

Week 1: Costume Design

Redesign the costume of any character from descendants, pulling inspiration from the book, musical, and movie. Create a mood/ inspiration board, drawing, or collage of your chosen characters new design. Learn the basics of color theory through the theatrical lens.

Week 2: Set Design

Create a mood/ inspiration board, drawing, or collage, based on one of the locations in descendants. Learn some of the steps in designing a set like creating a background, making a floor plan, and picking a theme.

All Materials provided. Ages 10-18.
